Peter De Vries letters to H.R. Hays, 1942-1943.

The collections consists of two letters and a post card from De Vries to H.R. Hays, in his capacity as associate editor of Poetry magazine. Includes: postal card, 20 June 1942, confirming that Rosenberg's book will be sent when it arrives; letter, 13 Aug. 1942, admiring Hays' poem The Liberators, wishing to remove the last two stanzas before publication; letter, 21 Jan. 1943, with thanks for a review of an Arturo Torres Rioseco book, and soliciting translations for a possible Latin American issue of Poetry.
